Brand new to North Dakota and available in cans meant I had to give it a try. No freshness dating on the can (but the box did say this was only 3 weeks old). Pretty average IPA--light pine and earthy hop bitterness along with bready malt and a hint of citrus.

Pours a dark golden color. Smell is of piney hops. Taste is mild, a light bitterness, some malts, drinks more like a pale ale than an IPA. Overall a decent beer.

Had this on tap at Twisted Pine in Boulder. Poured a typical clear orange. Aroma is instantly big hops and grapefruit. Taste is citrusy, lots of pine and finishes mildly acidic.

They brew some fine good beer in Colorado. To me, this is better than the average IPA. Not in the top tier by any means, but I would classify as 2nd tier-ish. Mostly about the flavor and smooth mouthfeel here. They do not skimp on the bitterness either, which lives up to it's name. Citrus-grapefruit hops is the theme, but balanced well with the caramel malts, etc. Appearance is semi-cloudy medium orange...not a pale/clear IPA. Only grabbed a single in a mix-and-match to sample, but will look for more so I can taste test with some of my favorites in this style.

A semi-cloudy, amber colored beer. There's a medium sized, frothy textured white head rising above. There's some hangtime. It settles into a thick ringlet with some thick film trying to ride up the side. The aroma and tasting are all about piney hops. In that pretty refreshing. A medium bodiedsmooth drink.

Sampled on 9/9/2010. This IPA pours a light to medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is floral and fruity. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are floral and grapefruity. Mild carbonation. A medium to lightly bitter IPA. Nice balance. Not a big IPA but very drinkable. Would make a good summer session IPA. Nice dry finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean, dry and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Another soild offering from T.P. A little light for an American ipa but nice none the less. Aroma of fruity/ floral hops. Body was a light amber with lots of yeast floaters. Mouthfeel was a little stikey, but o.k. Flavor of floral hops and something i cant quite place, with a fiar malt back. Overall it was pretty decent.

It pours a dark gold (some redness) with thick beige head and thick lace. Aroma of hops, caramel malts, pine, tangerine, and spices. The mouthfeel is smooth, although thin. Flavors of hops, pine, caramel malts, citrus, peppers and spice. Very good.

Aroma is fruity and piney with some slight malty sweetness coming through and floral hops and bitterness. Appearance is a rustic-orange in color with some haze with a medium-sized head on top that diminishes to a light lacing that is off-white in color. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with complex hoppy balance with good complexity with a palate that is clean, crisp, and dry-like to some extent. Flavor is of pine and dried-floral hops with an aftertatse that has some bready malt with some pine and is syrupy with a finish that is clean and well hopped and tasty with some dryness. Overall, nicely hopped, West Coast IPA here and worth a shot if you can find it.

Sampled from bottle. Pours Copper with a faint haze caused by suspended trub. Sudsy white head and notable lacing. Its aroma is quite bready (biscuit) with some caramel. Slightly bitter with not nearly enough flavor hops. Medium-bodied. I'd take this back to the drawing board.
