Had a pint of this at the San Diego Brewing Company, while watching the Kansas City Chiefs/Denver Broncos game on TV. For a someone who isn't a fan of either team, the game was fairly exciting. This beer, on the other hand, wasn't as interesting....
A bit dark and muddy looking for a Pale Ale. Ditto for the flavor profile -- a bit subdued and muddled. Seems to come across a bit confused and unguided -- is it trying to be an American Pale Ale? Not really hoppy/bitter enough. Is it trying to go the English route? No, not enough malty/estery notes for that, either. And this isn't nearly sturdy enough in the mouthfeel to support being labeled as an ESB or anything....
Not horrible, but a rather confused and indistinct beer, that doesn't have much of idea of what it wants to accomplish...

This pale ale pours with a golden amber body topped by a thick off-white head with some lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet and malty with a slight honey note and a slight citrusy hop note. The flavor is sweet and malty with notes of fruit. Not much for a hops in this brew. Light to medium bodied, smooth and dry in the finish.
