Arômes de chocolat noir, caramel et fruits séchés. Texture riche et crémeuse avec saveur de café, de caramel et de châtaignes d'eau grillées. Légère amertume sur une finale délicieusement équilibrée. Aromas of dark chocolate, toffee and dried fruit. Rich creamy texture with flavours of coffee, caramel and roasted chestnuts. Light bitterness, with a medium finish.

Picked up a tallboy at the brewery. Pours a huge frothy tan head and has a dark amber/brownish appearance. Big sticky lacing. Aromas of light roasted malts, hints of chocolate. Flavours are mostly malty, some dry fruit notes and a bit of coffee and chocolate but fairly subtle. Some faint caramel notes as well. Somewhat of a watery mouthfeel. Light body. Not bad.

Pours a clean copper colour with deep amber highlights. The head is mocha-coloured, bubbly, foamy, with good stay and some spiderweb-foam lacing. Caramel, butterscotch (diacetyl again?) and coffee aromas at first, with some roasted malts and very light hops coming a bit later. The taste is mild with the burnt malt, some caramel and hints of coffee. Mildly creamy mouthfeel. Nothing crazy, but a very easy-drinking porter.
