Embrace the Funk Fest. Reddish amber pour, white bubbly head, some lacing. Fresh cut cherry aroma and flavor, tart then sweet, very light funk. Very refreshing and bubbly.

Pours a dark pinkish color. Smell is of sour cherries. Taste is good, sour cherries in abundance, drinks a little like a wine. Overall a quality beer worth trying.

Sampled on 7/9/2011. This fruit lambic pours a medium red color from a 330ml bottle. Small to medium sided, slightly pinkish thin foamy head, with quick lasting retention and nice lacing. The aroma is cherry, malty, yeasty, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied lambic – fruit beer. The malts are fruity and sweet, bunch of cheery and maybe some berry. The hops are herbal. Decent carbonation. A touch sweet and the cherry flavor seems a little artificial tasting. It is also not as tart or funky as I would like, but it is tarter than a fruit beer. It also might be a little on the thin tasting side, but it is still very drinkable. I am not sure it’s a great representative of the style, but I could/can drink this one. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly tart and a little sweet.

Sampled RBESG 2006, bottle, as Timmermans Tradition Kriek Lambic. Beautiful red colour. Barnyard and cherry aroma. Funky cherry flavour. A decent kriek lambic, if cherries are the matter of the day.

Colour is something between amber and ruby red, mediumsized reddish white head. Aroma is strongly cherry, with notes of almond. The same in flavour, surprisingly sweetish for a Timmermans, but some sourness also exists. In my opinion very lovely and refreshing! A bit watery palate, but doesn’t ruin the whole.

Smells like natural fresh cherries! Yes, aroma is nice, but really far from beer. Solid red color, pink head and soooo sweet flavor. Could be drinkable as lemonade. As Kriek it is good, but excellent as real normal beer. Anyway very attractive and looks very exotic on your table.
