Pours a deep brown in colour with a tan head. The smokiness of the peated malts is matched by a smooth taste of toffee, caramel and dark fruits.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Black colour, low tan head. Mildly roasted aroma with hints of coffee, and moderate notes of peat smoked malts. Medium dry flavour, well balanced notes of roast malts and peat smoke. Moderate hops.

Pours a fairly big thick frothy brownish head and has a dark brown appearance. Some good sticky lacing remains. Aromas of coffee, malts, hints of spices as well as vanilla. Flavours are sweet at first (caramel) and the smokey notes come through much more in the finish. Fairly smooth mouthfeel. Average retention.

Very dark brown appearance with a large tan head that thins but leaves good lacing. Peat, caramel and toffee aroma. Medium mouthfeel and carbonation. Flavour has roasted malt, black coffee, dark fruits, toffee and just the right amount of smoke. Enjoyable beer.

Pours a real dark brown colour with light ruby highlights. The head is creamy, bubbly, mocha-coloured, long lasting and leaves nice fluffy-creamy lace. Coffee aromas at first over roasted malts. Then, some smokiness and dark fruits appear. The taste really shows the smoked wood with the roasted malts. Some decent leafy hops shows up in the aftertaste, creating a little dryness. The mouthfeel itself is quite smooth, medium bodied. Everything is well-balanced without anything too strong, sticking out.

The beet pours a solid coca-cola colour with a very thin creamy brown head which lingers and laces well. The aroma is peat wood, roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is well balanced between a smoked malt flavour, coffee, and caramel notes. Tastes great!
