The aroma was the highlight with warm roasted malt, toffee and coffee. Ruby red to black in the light with a thin tan head, medium-bodied appropriate for a porter. Aroma translated to flavors without the same intensity.

This beer was had at the Rock Brewery in Lynnwood, Washington and served from tap. This beer pours a generally light black color with a thin orangey head and a mild to small degree of glass lacing. The aroma is smokey and malty and pretty much that was it since it was served in a chilled glass....(asses!)! The mouthfeel was thick and full, with cocoa and coffee beans dominating the flavor. Dry, slightly bitter finish, almost reminiscent of other dry-hopped beers I’ve recently had. Very basic, but it went nicely with my burger.
