This Beer is a very dark robust porter. It is close to black and has a very roasty flavor, but it also has a very clean flavor for such a dark beer. In all of our taste trials, this beer is the favorite of most.

Aromas of dark, rich, and roasty malts were first, dark chocolate and roasty coffee are dominant. Molasses, dark fruits like fig and raisin also peek in just a bit.Dark balck body, nice big froth head that quickly settles with some nice retention. Decent lace left behind.Flavors up front are more of the cereal maltiness and dark fruits, later on comes some coffee/dark chocolate bitterness along with the dark brown sugar/molasses sweetness. A nice lingering roastines throughout. Overall I am pretty impressed by this beer, a big roasty porter that delivers.
