What happens when a 500 year old Belgian style ale gets rear-ended by a truckload of pompous American hops? It equals one heck of an ambulance chaser of a beer. This is an American style Belgian IPA, with a subtle phenolic flavor in combination with citrusy/piney hops, well balanced at 6.2% and 55 IBUs, with a tart, dry finish. Grains: 2-Row, Wheat, Flaked Oats Hops: Bravo, Ahtanum, Centennial, Cascade Dry Hop: Ahtanum, Centennial, Simcoe Yeast: Strong Belgian Ale

A bold sunshine in color. A big frothy textured, white head rises above. There's good hang time on the head. It settles into a moderate ringlet and healthy persistent cap. The citric hops in this one, light and sweet in the nose are not as astringent in the tasting. This is a great sessionable IPA

One of my favorites from Sweetwater, and one the better new ones for the season. Even though I got this in the winter, this seems more like Spring/Summer beer. I am liking the white/Belgian IPAs, as it cuts down the citrus and hop flavors a bit...although this one has some decent hop to it. Citrus, pine, Belgian yeast, some light white-oak in the flavor. Clean, crisp, and refreshing. I could get a 6 or so of this each year.

A golden color with a white head. The aroma contains some citrus and spices. The flavor is somewhat bitter with some pine and citrus but also a bit earthy, Some corinander and banana going on. This is a light but hoppy IPA. Good for summer.

Clean and light golden yellow pour, bubbly white head, some lacing. Sweet citrus aroma and initial flavor, offset by zesty hops, light Belgian yeasts, light sour notes. Clean and tasty BPA. Very enjoyable.

Pours a beautiful clear amber with some white head. Hoppy aroma has a strong citrus undertone, more Mandarin orange than grapefruit. Flavor is monumentally hoppy and has a bold sour citrus tone, as much grapefruit as Mandarin orange. Texture is quite fizzy so you feel it inside you as it heads downstairs. This is one whiplash you will be glad you got!
