Had my first taste of this at Blue Lou's and enjoyed it, but by that time, couldn't accurately describe what I tasted. Picked up a bottle in Asheville, and just opened it. Glad I did! Full malt backbone, distinct rye character that overrides, but doesn't conceal. Clear amberish, nice froth head. Delicious fresh grapefruits, spice, and yeasty notes.

Couple of bottles got popped at blue Lou's throw down, and I was pleased as all get out to try it. Prominent citrus hops with some pine and grass countered by a nice dry rye and biscuit malt content. Sparkling copper-orange body with a large frothy head and heavy lacing. Fruity, dry and pleasantly bitter.

A couple of bombers from my local beer buddy Sam, who would be a BeerPal if he would ever receive some sort of confirmation email after signup. He brought this puppies up from Georgia for the Hootenanny. Malty and light ryed aroma, slight caramel , light grapefruit and apricot hops. Taste is malty sweet and very lightly ryed with a good dose of apricot hops and nice little linger. Thanks Sam for this crowd pleaser.

Rich aroma is yeasty and woody with a subtle rye overtone. It pours a clear amber with a fairly thick and persistent white head; lacing is minimal. Flavor is yeasty, malty and rye-ish, a little woody but pleasantly so. Texture is not at all smooth - quite fizzy and rough, very pleasant, leaving behind a nice if not strong tingle.
