pours a light orange in color with a big white head that lingers. The aroma is hoppy with spice. The taste is beautiful blend of different hops, citrus & spices and persists in the palette. Rich in flavor. Finishes with what malts it has. The mouthfeel is auick, light, velvet and has a medium texture with good carbonation.

When I drink this beer I realize why I pay the price. The aroma drifts to the nose as you pour. Just an excellent beer all round .If this is # 5 in this style, I look forward to trying # 1. Got to love the hops.

This is my favorite of all the beers I have ever had in a long and sordid life. I have never before had a beer that manages to be hoppy and mellow at the same time. Paradoxical but true. If only it wasn't so expensive. $12.59 a sixpack at my local grocery as of June 2011.

Pours a hazzy orange/amber with a big white head that dissapears rapidly. Aroma is of citrus and peach. Taste is very hop heavy and ever lightly tart. Very well done. Will have again.

Very nice citrus and peach nose. Kinda murky light gold color with a good thick white head. Quite malty for an IPA, impressive mouthfeel to add to a strong hop flavor. Nice beer, easy drinking, can't believe it really has such a high alcohol content.

A pale amber, burnt orange color with a glowing white head that was creamy and frothy. Excellent retention with some fabulous lacing. Looks really good. Coudy through and through. The head settled to a white cap that remained with the beer until it was gone. A nice, robust grapefruit citrus at first. Very floral and piney. A touch of orange peel. The smell is phenomenally well balanced and sweet. Bits of bread or biscuit add some malty notes also. Wonderfully appropriate splashes of bitterness. Especially from the grapefruit. Very piney and floral tasting, but it has a surprising malty undertone that tones down the bitterness. A touch spicey. Wow!!! Really tastes nice. A very solid, medium mouthfeel. Very dry and crisp. Notably smooth considering how bitter the brew is. Completely overwhelms the palate with flavor that hangs around forever. Very, very nice. Surprisingly refreshing also despite the dryness. This is an outstanding beer. What aroma and flavors!!! At 7.7% ABV one would need to take time with this one, but it's so easily drinkable that it makes it difficult. I can just imagine drinking this on a beautiful Spring day. Worth a try and, for sure, one that I will pick up again and again.

I was told this would ruin me forever for IPAs - not so. Colour - hazt rust colour, this off white head. Aroma - citrus, pine, weak grass. Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - a hoppish onslaught, grapefruit. Overall - better than most Stone beers

Not a big nose, alcohol, grapefruit, not much spice or malt, and some overripe fruit I assume from the yeast. Pretty beer, light amber body (a bit too pale?) that is a bit cloudy (chill haze?), good white head with nice lace. Mouth is a bit slippery unusual in an IPA but nice, medium, and a bit chewy. Flavor is strong. I think the alcohol should be better masked, its very prominent throughout the taste. A slight sweetness of honey on the front of the mouth lasts for only an instant before bitter on the rear of the tongue takes over. There are pine notes and some hints of sour over-ripe fruit (a belgium taste) but it is predominately grapefruit and raw alcohol. Ending is STRONGLY sour and bitter and leaves a film on the palate. I guess I find this beer quite nice but slightly over-rated. Its really not all that hard to put a ton of bittering hops into a high alcohol beer, this could use some more malt backbone.

Hazy yellow-gold color with a moderate white head and good lace; very similar to the Pale Ale. Here the similarities end, however. This is a much better beer than the Pale Ale, and not because it's a hop-bomb. In fact it's much less bitter than many other IIPAs bitter. But it's full and rich, fruity and malty, smooth mouthfeel, strong peach, apricot, and grapefruit nose. Delicious. MUSIC: 'They Move on Tracks of Never-Ending Light' by This Will Destroy You

Mmmm good Mmmm good -- that's what Stone's brews are Mmmm Mmmm Good -- Ruination, pours with a slightly hazy burn lemon color. Aroma is yummy, lots of hoppy flavor, not sweet at all, goes well with almost anything or just by its self. Unfortunately not the most easy to find, but if you do your in luck.
