A burnt orange sunshine in color with a big sudsy textured off white head rising above. There's decent hang time on the head. It settles into a thin ringlet. Musky fruitness in the nose. More of the same with a spiciness in the tasting. Light-medium, effervescent.

Shared 750 ml bottle, at Håndverkerstuene, Oslo. ABV 6.8%. Hazy deep golden colour, moderate white head. Strong spicy aroma, also farmhouse notes, hints of oaked cider. Spicy and fruity flavour, some acidity but not unpleasant. Decent hops. A good and interesting beer.

Sampled on 3/26/2011. This saison pours a slightly hazy orange gold color from a 750ml bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, spicy and sweet, with some oranges and peaches. A medium bodied saison. The malts are fruity and sweets, oranges and apricots. The hops are spicy and herbal. Nice carbonation. Good balance between the spice and fruitiness. Very easy drinking saison. A nice light and refreshing spring beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

has potential, but so overcarbonated, that after it was done foaming (just a little, i've seen way worse) i took a swig. the slightest swish in my mouth caused the beer to expand to the point i could barely swallow it. gassy in the belly too, as was the St F Saison. However, the balance of spice, earthyness, malt and tart was so nice as to almost be able to overlook this shortcoming. almost. i wanted to love this beer and just liked it.

Pours fuzzy yellow with a decent white head. Perhaps a bit over carbonated. Peppery Yeast aroma. Flavor is sweet malt with a peppery citrus body. Dry finish. Great rendition.
