Comparable to a German Rauchbier, this deep dark amber is brewed using choice malts smoked over beechwood. The results are unmistakable flavours of hickory and smoky rye with a dry oak finish.

Can from the brewery. Pours a darker amber colour, filtered, with a yellow-beige foamy head and some soapy lacing. Aromas of smoked wood with caramel and toffee notes soften with hints of vanilla. The flavours seem watery making this one not too rich, so you can finish a can. The caramel malts with very mild smokiness. This lingers on the tongue, but not overly sweet. Some fruitiness. Decent easy-drinking smoked ale.
