English Pale malts coupled with Challenger and Goldings hops provide the bitterness and aroma. The result is a highly distinctive light, golden ale similar in character to a full-bodied Czech lager.

500 ml capped bottle. Poured in the original St. Peter's glass a clear amber-orange coloured Blonde Ale with a two fingers light beige and soapy foamy head that had a long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Sustained carbonation. Some lacing. The aroma is powerful herbal hops and moderate malty, notes of caramel. The flavour is intense hebal and grassy hops, herbs, moderate sweety malts, fruity notes, citrus. The mouthfeel is light crispy, light sparkling, thick and plenty hoppy bitter. The texture is oily. This medium bodied Blonde Ale has a long herbal hoppy bitter finish. A very nice Blonde Ale reminding me the best hoppy bitter Czech Lagers. I like it.

Surprising slightly skunky light hop aroma. Light bodied. Flavor well balanced between sweetish caramel malt and spicy hops with a bit of pine. Not bad, but a little light and boring. I definitely prefer the darker brews from St peters.

This was an offer that I couldn't refuse. 50% off clearance at Roy's Liquor in Fort Pierce, FL. I was a little sceptic because was bottle in late 2009, but it does not seem spoiled. My favorite so far from St. Pete (only sampled 3). Solid for a golden ale. Mainly sweet, wheaty, light malty flavors but with a good hop clean hop finish. Mouthfeel is crisp. May go back an see if they have another one.

A clear, dark yellow/gold color. A birght white somewhat soapy head with fine bubbles. Nice size. Only average retention. Left some good lacing however. The nose was a fresh grainy/grassy bouquet. Some cracker and butter notes. Nicely balanced. The taste provided the grain again. Not an astringent grain as some can be. A butter flavor with a light splash of lemon. Again, some dry cracker type tastes. Well balanced in flavor. Some touches of bitterness. Medium mouthfeel. Crisp and snappy. Refreshing and dry. Doesn't over do it with flavor on the palate, but does leave a nice bit of flavor. I didn't know what to expect of this brew when I opened it, however I was pleasantly surprised. A very nice well rounded beer. A great brew for Spring and Summer. Worth a try. Very sessionable and easy to drink. A great beer to sit back and relax with. It was rather filling for a low ABV beer also.

As in the name, the beer is a bold golden colored ale. Moderate creamy textured white head rises above, but disappears far too quickly. No lacing on this one. On first nose there’s a metallic aroma. Some hops, once it warms. The tasting doesn’t fair any better. A skunked beer that seems to mellow as it warms. Moderate bodied with a creaminess. Glad I bought just one.

Pours a hazy pale copper with a tiny off white head that disappears quickly. The appearance gives the impression or the mouth having no carbonation but it does. Aroma of caramel malt, some hops. Hoppy initially with caramel, grain and a bitter finish that lingers. Low carbonation smooth mouthfeel. Pretty good.

A wonderful beer. The bottle doesn't look like your typical bottle, but more of a flask. Nice malty notes greet me, and they leave a bitter finish. Overall I recommend this beer to anyone, and they shall see the greatness of this beer.

Woohoo ! Another St. Peter's brew at the LCBO. I love their beers, as they always stand out from the ordinary, whatever style they make. Comes in a lime-green transparent flask-looking bottle with a date of production listed as B188. This golden ale pours a hazy golden-orange colour (after shaking the bottom) and looks like it came out of a cask. Not much head, not much carbonation, but decent lace and a nice coating on the brew stays. The aromas are of caramel malts, butter, nuts, mild fruits and floral hop. Nice refreshing mouthfeel, that is light, but not watery, and just right for a session beer. The hop is definitely present in the taste, but not overpowering, but just enough to show the people that their swill is much more than a mass-produced product. Touches of oranges and other light fruits, with some grain malts, very well balanced. Beautiful dry and slightly tarty finish. Quite up there for a golden ale !

Not really sure what to make of these St. Peter's bottles. As the name implies, this is a golden ale with a thin head. The aroma was cereals, and the flavour was grainy. There were hoppish hints in both the aroma and flavour, but I needed more.

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Deep golden colour, moderate white head. Very moderate aroma, weak notes of hops and grain, hints of toffee and biscuits. The flavour has decent hops on a slightly sweet base of moderate malts, with a hint of caramel. Distinct hoppy bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Not a bad beer, but far from the best offering from St. Peter’s.
