Shared 375 ml bottle at local tasting, Holmen2’s rating No. 1000. Hazy deep golden to orange colour, white head. Nice sourish aroma, farmhouse, lemons and white wine vinegar. Sour flavour, lemons, grapefruit.

Purchased at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario Store. A cloudy golden coloured beer with nary a head. The aroma is tart fruit, funk, yeast, and grains. The flavour is more of the same with very tart fruity notes of front and a yeasty finish.

Pours a small amount of foamy bubbly head but goes away pretty quick. No lacing whatsoever. Has a fairly clear golden amber appearance. The aroma is pretty sour almost immediately, like sour apples. Flavours are quite tarty and sour as well, apples, pears and notes of lemon in the finish. Full bodied mouthfeel. Tingling and tarty sensation on the palate. Fairly active carbonation.

Pours a clear unfiltered gold color with a big white ass head. The aroma is of yeast and lemon. The mouthfeel is real thinn. The taste is very sour reminds me of a pack of Kool Aid with no water. Won't be trying this style again but glad it knock it off the list.

Golden colour. Thin head is gone way too quick. Aroma is fruity, sour and acidic. Very sour and tart flavour with rhubarb and lemon. Medium mouthfeel with high carbonation. Don't think this will ever get close to being one of my favorite styles.

Comes out of the tap a hazy darkish golden amber with a fairly thick and fine-bubbled pale golden tan head. Aroma has a strong fruity overtone, almost like a hard apple cider, plus a malty hint. Crisp, fruity flavor brings to mind a strong, dry cider, though a bit of hop bitterness manages to sneak through. Alcohol bite is quite strong for only 5%. Texture seems rather thin despite the strong fizz. Not a fave for me, but maybe someone who really likes lambics will appreciate it more.

Purchased at the City Market Coop in Burlington, VT. Pours a slight hazy golden colour with a creamy head. Sour and sweet aromas with hints of wood, kind of earthy. Not as sweet in taste, but a nice sour flavours with the earth feel. A nice mild tart finish. Grain comes out eventually in the aftertaste. A nice lambic.

    375ml bottle -

Herring Creek Camping beer tasting - while this wasn't one of the best gueze's out there, it was still really nice. Kind of like a Introductory to Gueuze kinda beer. It won't kick you in the balls with it's intensity, but it will perk you up and let you know you're drinking one. Aroma is slightly cheesy, sour, light vomity, hay with just a touch of white wine. Flavor is on the musty side, a little more cheese, medium sourness/lemony, light oak-y-ness with a bone-dry, semi-mouth strippin feel. Love this stuff.

I tried this beer on May 19, 2011 at "Smokeless Joe" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a hazy pinkish-orange with a thin white head, one which was easily replenshed. The aroma was tart fruit, grains, and yeast. The mouthfeel was weak bodied and highly carbonated. The flavour was tart fruit, and more tart fruit.
