this, IMHO, was their best brew, and i'm surprised at the low scores. one of the most flavorful, rich browns i've had in a while. tasted bigger than it's 5.6%. roasted malt, chocolate. well done.

Nothing really good or bad about this beer. Aroma was probably it's strength which was nice. Notes of brown sugar, black walnut, toasted grain and some caramel were present. Appearance was dark brown with a bit of redness to it near the head. Mouthfeel was a little thin, which I didn't care for. Flavor was of roasted malts, but muted somehow. Hopes were barely there and it finished smoothly. Not bad, but nothing to make me buy again unless I'm stuck in the snow and this is all they have.

Pours with a deep brown body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing. It’s sweet and very malty with a slight hop note, not all that great. Medium bodied and smooth.

Dark brown color. Medium white foamy head. Aroma is nutty with a touch of caramel and fruit. A medium to lighter bodied brown ale. Malts are nutty and sweet. Hops are mild and slightly spicy. The balance is good, but it really reminds me of every other brown ale out there. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Believe it or not, brown color with a tan head, whoa. Nothing in the aroma to speak of as well as the taste. Well, I've tried two of their beers and they are both uninspiring. Worth finishing though, so they have that going for them. Worth taking any more of my time to rate this swill? Probably not. Adios.
