Rated March 2009. Sweet bonus courtesy of ditmier. Pours deep dark with full inch tall mocha head. The mild aroma has notes of roastiness moving to burnt malts and a touch of earthiness. Nice roasty taste to go along with supporting notes of sweet malts and molasses. Midway it gets toasty leading into some dry malt astringency. Pretty nice.

notes: pretty mellow, but VERY drinkable. malted milk chocolate and lactose perhaps? Roasted malt and just enough bitterness to temper the sweet. nicely done, though not quite robust enough to be a standout.

A really mild stout, somewhere between a milk stout and a porter, tasty though, really nice, mild flavor. A little booze and milk on the nose, light roast, cream, porter on the tongue. Smooth body and extremely easy to drink.

zonkers!?! .. . pours a medium brown black .. light foam .. some spotty lacing .. . light coffee and wet charcoal .. . abv is done nicely .. . a good brew without real flaws, but just to simple for me .. . . i'm sure there's some kind of shanty clause in there...

Another state off the list - another good beer from Brother Travis. Deep ruby black pour with an initially medium sized head and ample lacing leaving a constant cream ring. Roasted and sweet malts upfront then some cherries and oak and some coffee as it warms a little. Taste is extremely smooth with a very slight sweet toasted malts, slight cherry, slight burnt brown sugar then an ever-so-slight hops bitter. One hell of a stout. Thank you Travis for this Wyoming Winner.

Phenomenal stout. Pours very dark mahogany with a thick dark tan head, leaving behind sporadic lacing. Strong aroma of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, molasses, oak, and grass. Flavor greets you with espresso, roasted almonds, dark chocolate, followed by dark roast coffee, molasses, and vanilla, before finally finishing out slightly dry, very roasty, with some smoky hints. Insanely complex for a 5.8% stout, this beer has tons going for it, without ruining it's own drinkablity. A+.

Nice looking dark pour with fluffy head. Smell of lactic and roast. Flavor was rich chocolate with roast and a milky, chalky finish. Smooth mouthfeel with a little chalkiness. Good beer.

Looks like stout, nice and opaque black, but lacks a significant head, and leaves but spotty lacing. Roasted malt aroma with whiffs of coffee and light chocolate. After warming close to room temperature, the flavors open up, including strong notes of coffee, and a hint of hops in the finish. Nicely crafted stout, with a bit of a kick!

Yum Yum poured a dark brown almost black good head and lacing. Aroma was of chocolate and coffee also some darker fruits in there. Flavor was some dark fruits coffee chocolate which i think gave it a little biter flavor. Very good beer.

Poured a deep brown color, nice tannish type head, huge, good lacing, nice look. The aroma was coffee, light cocoa, dried fruits. The flavor was bitter cocoa, dried fruits, perhaps a touch of coffee or some roasted malts (not as much as the aroma, though), nice combination. The mouthfeel started a tad light, but seemed ok by the end, dry finish, some acidity too?
