Bottled@SBWF2008. Close to black colour, mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is toffee, coffee and some strong roasted notes. Flavour is roasted malts, some smoked wood and mild toffeeish and vanillaish notes. Big time smoked wood in the aftertaste.

Almost black with a big light brownish head. Loads of aromas; coffee, smoke, dried dark fruit and heavily burnt malt. Taste: Is this a porter??? Anyway, it's very dry and bitter all the way through; smoke, tar, dark plums, dark chocolate and very burnt malt tones. Dry finish. Got buy some more.

(500 ml bottle). Pitch black (= very dark brown) colour, low head. Aroma of liquorice, coffee and roasted malts. Extremely dry (not even a hint of sweetness) roasted and well rounded flavour, good bitterness - perhaps slightly too tart and salty in the finish. Not easy drinking, but a good beer.
