Black Rocket är en Porter i modern amerikansk stil. Det är en mycket fyllig och smakrik öl med rostade toner av kaffe, choklad och en aning lakrits som balanseras av en komplex maltighet med inslag av bröd, kakor och karamell. Ovanpå detta har stora mängder aromahumle använts som ger toner av gräs, nötter, och citrusfrukt. Receptet är inspirerat av de stora fylliga och humlerika pubölen på amerikas västkust, och har sedan kompletterats med mer rostad malt för att göra en porterversion i denna stil. Vi har använt åtta olika maltsorter och amerikansk och kontinental humle i denna kraftiga Porter.

330 ml bottle, from Systembolaget. ABV is 5.5%. Black colour, big brown head. Lovely aroma of roasted malts, dark bitter chocolate and coffee, hints of English liquorice. The flavour is roasty with notes of coffee, hints of liquorice, dark chocolate and burnt toast. Some fruity notes in the background. Distinct bitter finish, both from the hops and the roasted malts.

Pours out in a black colour with a small creamy tan-coloured head. Crisp aroma of roasted malts, chocolate crisps, mild anise and grass. Medium-bodied with notes of roasted malts, coffee, mild pine, nuts and grass. Rounded yet crisp mouthfeel. Long medium-bitter finish of roasted malts, dark chocolate, cookies, mild pine and grass. Nice Sierra Nevada clone, this.
