One taste of this deep chocolate brown porter will explain why it won a silver medal at the 1998 Great American Beer Festival in Denver and continues to win the hearts of dark ale lovers everywhere. With a slightly hoppy aroma and a smooth, toasty malt character, Portage pairs well with food or stands alone as an exemplary sample of the robust porter style.

Very dark, almost black. Big roasty aroma, coffee and chocolate. Slightly rich on the tongue, but not really sweet. Slightly thin body. Makes for a great dessert beer.
