The beer pours a translucent orange-gold with a huge frothy off-white head which takes a couple of minutes to disippate, and leaves good lacing. The aroma is grassy malt, noble hops, yeast, and a hint of caramel. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grassy, with light notes of caramel giving way to a bitter hoppy finish. This is a very good local Oktoberfest beer, and the finest Sleeman beer I’ve had. -

750ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a massive frothy white head and dissipates to a thin coating. Has a pale golden appearance. Lots of thick sticky lacing remains. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of grains, wheats. Flavours are mostly light malts, some bready malt, cereal, wheaty and grainy. Some mild grassy and earthy notes as well. Medium retention. A little bit of a dry mouthfeel. Not bad.

750ml brown bottle that pours a clean golden-amber colour with a big frothy, light-beige head, with good retention and full wavy lacing. Cereal grain malt aromas with some fruitiness, hints of spices and caramel. Flavours are lightly sweet with the cereal notes blending in. The spiciness seems to come from Saaz hops as I get a feel of pilsner, more than actual spices. This is a nice easy-drinking stronger blonde ale.
