Excellent and affordable hefeweizen. The slight hint of lemon helps accentuate the overall flavor.

Sunshine gold in a glass, head is white, and short-lived. Aroma is on style with banana, bubble gum, and spice. Taste is on point as well, starts off sweet and stays there. Not the worst hefeweizen out there.

Cloudy unfiltered orange color with small white foam head. Aroma is malty with citrus and orange. Taste is orange, no beer taste actually. Bit prickling, high carbonation. Short aftertaste. (Houston 201301)

Really didn't care for this. Not quite a hefe, but not an American wheat either. A bit of a muddled mess. Sweet with a lemony bitterness that does not complement the beer because the traditional banana clove aspects are missing. Don't get the higher scores...didn't wanna finish the bottle.

Pours a cloudy golden color. Smell is very mild, some lemon after several deep whiffs. Taste is also very mild, a touch of lemon and wheat. Overall nothing offensive almost like a wheat beer light.

pours a cloudy dark golden yellow, with a little head that quickly disappears. Has a nice fruity aroma with just a touch of wheat. The beer had a nice wheat taste with just a hint of fruit finish. A good beer on a hot day.

Thanks to my parents for bringing this one back from the States. Big foamy white head that stays a long, long time, and creates patchy lacing. Hazy golden-beige colour with decent carbonation. Mild aromas and taste of wheat malt with a touch of citrus. An overall refreshing hefeweizen, but lacking the punch that are found in German ones.

Cloudy. Yellowish/orange. A few bubbles coming up from the bottom. Bright white head that was rather small and finished with a small thin ring. Getting some fruit, orange, in the nose. Picking up some spice, probably the cloves. Faint hint of the wheat. The taste had a decent bit of bitterness coming through at the end on the back of the tongue. Catching the orange and citrus flavor. Slight bit of sourness finding its way through also. Tasting the wheat, but not getting a whole lot of the honey as advertised. The mouthfeel was light, but goes down very smooth. Crisp and slightly watery. This beer is a thirst quencher. Easily drinkable in hot weather. A decent brew really. Not horrible, but nothing outstanding. I wouldn't mind picking this up again, however I won't go out of my way.

A full-bodied, wheaty beer that is true to type. Requisite unfiltered cloudiness when poured with a huge pillowy head that lingers and laces nicely. Citrusy in a very pleasant way. Nice warm weather brew.

A murky yellow colored beer. Big frothy white head rises atop. Some hang time. Settles, eventually into frothy cap. A bit musty, some wheat, some citrus come through in the nose. The wheat gives this a big-full body feel. Crisp on the palate. Lemons come through on the first sip. Wheat provides the backdrop.

This is my second sample of the 100 year Family Reunion variety pack. Like the first one that I tried, Shiner Bock, this beer smelled skunky. My retailer had these 6'ers stored on the unrefridgerated shelf, so could have been that. Made up for it again though with flavor. The first couple sips tasted a bit sour, but the beer grew on me towards the end. Appearance was hazy/cloudy like the first sample.....darker yellowish slightly orange color. Tastes of mainly wheat and malt with a little bit of bitterness from the hops. Had a bit of a "Belgian" feel, which I liked as it seemed a little fruitier and not as wheaty most of the other Hefs that I tried. I might have liked the bock better, but this was good to try.
