Mediocre Oktoberfest. Overly sweet with a corny aftertaste. The aroma is mildly vinous with some good barley but otherwise it’s mostly just sugary sweet without a lot going on. The beer pours a relatively pale gold with a fluffy white head. The flavor is simple, sweet and boring. I might go even further than boring and call it mediocre. It’s just too sweet. An alright beer, but sub-par for the style.

Sampled on 1/2/2010. This marzen pours a medium orange gold color from a 50cl bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is grainy and cereal, sweet and slightly fruity. A med to light bodied marzen. The malts are cereal, fruity and sweet. The hops are earthy and spicy. Decent carbonation. A touch of the sweet side and a little cornish. Seems like a pale lager brewed with an ale yeast. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet and slightly grassy.
