    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

500 ml capped bottle. Poured in a Bavarian Seidla a rich orange-amber coloured Heller Bock with a one finger slight beige and soapy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Sustained carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is solid light toasted malts, corn, some hay and surprising cocoa powder and chocolate notes. The flavour is light toasted malts, notes of caramel, fruity, apples, raisins and mandarin. The mouthfeel is fulled and quite thick. The texture is oily. This medium to full bodied Heller Bock has a dry malty finish. A good level Heller Bock from the Scherdel brewery in Hof, at the three countries corner, Saxony, Bavaria and Bohemia.
