Dark brown with with fast dissapearing brownish foam head settling on side of glass. Aroma is sweet caramel with some yeast and barley, typical dark beer aroma. Taste is likewise, sweet bittersweet. Aftertaste starts sweet slowly turning more bitter. (Velp 201209)

330 ml capped bottle. Poured an unclear rich burgundy coloured BSA with a two fingers tan foamy head that had a long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is toasted and caramel malts, spicy, licorice, dark fruits, plums, raisins and a clear alcoholic perception. The flavour is toasted and caramel malts, dark fruits, plums, raisins, berries and an alcoholic sensation. The mouthfeel is quite smooth. This medium to full bodied BSA has a dry spicy and alcoholic finish with the well-known warming effect. A pretty classical and tasting BSA.

Bottle: Poured a deep brown cloudy color ale with a big foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry caramel malt with light spices. Taste is also dominated by some caramel malt notes with some spicy yeast elements also discernable. Full body with some great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Not bad but more like a middle of the road Belgian ale slightly liking character.
