The typical Sapporo that you get here at a Japanese restaurant. I revisited Kirin recently and wan't impressed at all. This is slightly better, but still a bland forgetable pale lager however you look at it. Does have some mild hops to give it a near pilsner-like feel. Make sure it's really cold though if sampling!

Had this at a japenese hitachi restaurant ( when in Rome etc) Poured from 1pt 5.4floz brown bottle (imported). foamy white head that lasted, flavor was less than inspiring but was good with food i was eating.

Well because I'm bad about stereo types my mind keep telling me was made out of rice. It was very dry but it was served ice cold and I found it to be very smooth. Think I'll just drink this this one at the Japanese resturant.

No outstanding qualities, but nothing hateful either. Pale golden yellow with grassy notes in the aroma and a non-committal carbonated flavor and texture. Went well with my shrimp cocktail and later some spicy guacamole with chips.

Light grassy malt flavors with very gentle hopping. Bright yellow color. More grass and sweet malts in the flavor, rather sweet throughout. Much longer finish than most lagers. Thin, with a carbonation tingle.

Pours pale yellow color and is very clear with a small white head with decent retention, and tons of lacing. The aroma is of gentle grassy hops, rather faint and bland, but pleasant. The taste is warmer, fuller, with rich corn like flavor and with a nice sweetness. The mouthfeel is medium to light body, but fairly full in the mouth, and finishes smooth and watery/dry.

I must admit a level of skepticism that went along with this brew. It was like, how could the Japanese who are so good at building stuff could conquer brewing good beer. Well i eat those words. This open with a pleaseant soft scent that was very appealing. Soft hoppy notes. Frist taste it was like a smooth nice lager. in the glass it was nice and golden that just begged to be drank. It was a very nice smooth drinking beer. My hats off to the Japanese for adding to a world that is rich with beer. Ganbatte!!! go for broke!

When it's on sale, it's a great average-tasting beer. For me it's a good 2-cans-a-day beer. It's like other cheap lagers, but the plus side is that this one doesn't have to be ice-cold. It's very smooth.

off to japan we go, the land of the rising sun, and sapporo lager. Pours highly clear with a hint of haze and bright yellow color. Long lasting carbonation clean white head. Flavor is pretty mild, but makes a good meal companion.

A crystalline yellow colored beer, with a big foamy white head rising above. It has some staying power settling into a decent looking lacing. The aroma is of grains and grass, much like the American macrobrews. Nut it’s body is full and creamy. Really impressive. The taste is like the nose, grains and grassy hops. Overall, not one of my chosen styles, but I’m hear to proclaim I tried it once.
