Pours a near black with a one finger head that seams to loft in one way or another. Aroma is fairly bitter with hints of dark roasted malts and light chocolate. Taste is fairly subdued with hints of dark roast malts, cram, and not much chocolate. Smooth beer for what it is. Unlike the last few stout I have had this one does not have any metal taste to it and that is a big deal. Good drinking.

The aroma and color is strong and bold, dark, roasty and a touch of alcohol that tangles smoothly around the chocolate and oatmeal. This stout has a very pretty little creamy foamy halo for a head. The texture of the sip is smooth with a light touch of carbonation. The flavor is rich and hearty and lives up to it's delicious sounding name. Job well done, cheers!

Aroma and appearance are the strong points, very black sin a creamy white head, wrong aroma of coffee and chocolate . Flavor is sweet up front, then some bitterness, soreness and the rough finish you get from oatmeal. Not a bad beer but it needs and can support more malt.

From my local beer buddy Quentin - thanks Q-Dog. Pours a deep ruby black with a decent cream head and nice lacing. Aromas full of roasted and chocolate malts, slight molasses, hint of smoke and earthy hops. Mouthfeel is velvety smooth. Taste is slightly creamy with the chocolate and roasted malts upfront then slight creamy sweetness and just a bit of hops bitter.

Bottled@Monks Café, Wallingatan, Stockholm. Very dark ambey brown colour, small brown head. Aroma is nutty, some chocolate, wooden and mildly roasted malty notes. Flavour is sour wood, some liquorice, roasted malts and mild nuttyness. Finishes quite bitter and also shows some chocolaty notes in the finish.

Dark pour with a nice off white head. Good lacing around the glass. Smell of coffee and chocolate. Flavor is smooth of coffee and dark chocolate. Very enjoyable.

I fail to share the excitement about this one. Poured a thin reddish-brown, with a skimpy head, and not much aroma or mouthfeel. I totally don't detect the chocolate or coffee notes mentioned by other esteemed tasters here. Seems adequate to me, but not an earth-shaker. Now admittedly, I haven't had an oatmeal stout for a while, but have been drinking Impy's from Weyerbacher and Victory and the like, and have been out of the reviewing scene for a while, so maybe I'm ill-suited to judge it fairly. Or maybe it's my mood. Sorry.

Thanks to pfoxyjohn for this one. Pours an almost black color with a small tan head. Smells of smokey malts, chocolate and coffee. Taste is similar to the smell. Very enjoyable stout.

This one pours a dark brown almost black colour with a large creamy dark brown top. Chocolatey aroma is pleasent with fresh coffee grounds and smoke. Taste is rich, woody, earthy and semi sweet flavors.

Dark black and full-bodied with a thick brown head. Fresh-roasted coffee and chocolate aroma. Powerful roasted chocolate malt flavor; somewhat nutty. Smooth and rich, with a sweet but ultimately strong bitter finish. A very tasty, above-average effort.
