Named after the famous lighthouse built in San Pedro in the late 1800's. An excellent everyday beer. Nice hop aroma, medium body with a floral hop finish.

Sampled this at the 9th Annual Festival of Beer in Downtown San Diego.
If I have but only one complaint about the San Diego Festival of Beer, is that there isn't much in the way of truly Obscure Beer availability. Granted, I had never had this particular beer before (or even having heard of the San Pedro Brewing Company until then), but this wouldn't be something I would normally gravitate to at a bigger/better beer fest. But I was thirsty, and the guys manning the brewery's stand were enthusiasic enough, that I figured "What The Hell...."
"What the hell?", indeed. Dull, dull, dull. Perhaps it was the unexciting presentation, or the way-to-muted aroma, but this beer didn't give me much of a warm-and-fuzzy -- even more so after the first sip. Ok bitterness, but way-too thin in the mouthfeel. Felt like I was drinking a slightly carbonated and slightly bitter Iced Tea. Finish was oddly interesting, with malt making something of a 2:00 Minute Warning appearence at the end of the game.
Maybe better under less austere conditions, but for now, can't recommend this faceless, tasteless Pale Ale.
