California craft-brewed pale ales tend to be lighter in color and hoppier than their English counterparts. The full-bodied character is achieved through the generous hop addition throughout the boil and additional hops are added at the end of fermentation (known as "dry hopping") which provides an additional burst of aroma and flavor.

This ale pours with a pale golden body topped by a medium thick head with a good amount of lacing. The aroma is sweet and malty with a slight grassy hoppiness and some bready notes. The flavor is slightly sweet and malty to start and becomes hoppy and grassy with rye bread notes. Light bodied, tingly from the carbonation and dry.
