Perfect for any summer day, Samuel Adams® Porch Rocker™ was inspired by traditional Bavarian Radlers that mix beer with German-style lemonade. Our bright and citrusy Radler is a Helles beer with a fresh-squeezed lemon taste, effervescent sweetness, and slightly tart, refreshing finish. A light malt character and hint of hops balance out this satisfying summer brew.

Pours clear straw colored yellow with small white head that fades away to lace ring. The aroma is malt & Lemon. The taste is a typical lager with lemon added . The mouthfeel is light & refreshing

Pours clear, bubbly straw yellow with a thick and frothy, though not long-lasting, snow-white head. Aroma delivers a strong lemonade tone with a malty underpinning. This says "Summer" out loud. Tart flavor offers lemonade and malty notes, pleasing and refreshing. Mouthfeel features wan body and fizz, more lemonade than beer, but still this will either take the edge off a broiling day or bring a little summer into a chilly one.

Pours out a perfect clear gold with a thick white lingering head. The aroma is mild with just a tiny hint of lemon. The mouthfeel is thin but delivers just a slight tang. The taste is surprisingly good and refreshing. I would have to say it's the best lemon flavored beer I've drank.

Just not my thing. I don't know what I thought this was going to be but it was not what I was expecting. Too sweet, didn't realize it was some Arbold Palmer drunken beer. Just not my thing.

Sampled from bottle. Pours clear gold with a thick white head. Subtle lemon aroma. The otherwise straightforward Helles lager is overwhelmed by the lemon. That's the point and if radlers are your thing, check this out. To me, it's lemon Pledge.

Purchased in the States, part of their 2013 Beers of Summer variety pack. Pours a clean light-golden colour with a frothy white head, decent retention and soapy lacing. Lemonade aromas with some lime notes and grainy malts in the background. The citrus is present in the start of the taste, but the malt does take over to make this one closer to a fruit beer, than and shandy. Those who do like shandys, should like this though. Refreshing for this heat wave we are having. Could not drink as many of these, as the Miller Chill Lime for this weather, as a bit heavier.

A golden color with a large white head. The aroma contains some lemonade and grassy notes. The flavor is a bit sour with some lemons and some more grassy notes. This would be a pretty darn good beer on a hot day. Some herbal notes in the finish. Overall ok beer.

I guess this is Samuel Adams's version of a Shandy.....which is starting to make its ways here during the summer seasonals. Forgot to review this a few months ago. Had some nice wheaty characteristics followed by lemon and hops, but not that overwhelming with the citrus. I found it enjoyable to drink for the occasions, which mainly called for something lighter to cool down from the summer heat, or to pair with dinner during those times.

Picked up a sixer over the summer. More lemonade than beer in my opinion but at least there is a noticeable quality beer in the background. Better than Leinie' (less artificial tasting).

Sampled on 7/26/2012. This fruit beer/radler pours a light yellow orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is citrusy, lemon, and sweet. A light bodied radler. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal. Lots of lemon and citrus flavors, with a touch of grapefruit. Decent carbonation, actually a whole lot of real tiny bubbles. Light, refreshing and easy drinking. Not sure what else to ask from the style. Would be a great hot summer day or evening session ale. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet with a hint of lemon.
