I enjoyed this brew very much. I was not impressed with the looks of the beer after I poured it into a glass, due to the lack of head. But, after that, I was impressed. Nice hops and citrus flavor without going overboard. Not as flavorful as my beloved Sierra Nevada, but very nice. Better than anticipated and will try again.

Pours a clear golden yellow with a white head, about average. Aroma is malty and just slightly fruity, not strong but still appealing. Flavor is malty and a little fruity, just a shade hoppy, fair to middling. Texture is smooth and a little fizzy. A nice mild beer.

pours a nice orange yellow in color with a minimal of head that turns to an impressive lace ring. The aroma is of nice bits of hops with pale malts and grains. The taste is of mild hops and grainy malts. Very little yeast. The mouthfeel is light to medium body it's easy to drink.

Fairly mild English Pale Ale and very tame compared to the American style versions. Nice snappy malt with a touch of noble hops. Fairly dry and refreshing.

A completely average pale ale in every respect. Admittedly, I'm a big fan of Samuel Adams and have come to expect just a little bit more from them... didn't get it here. It's a decent beer - good actually, just nothing distinguishing about it. Average pale ale.

Purchased in Nashville in a mixed 12-pack of Samuel Adams. Pours a golden colour with a hue of orange. Its head is creamy-frothy, mildly off-white, with good retention and decent lacing. Thick patches coat the brew for a while and carbonation is pretty full. The nose is light with malt and notes of citrus. Hop is in the taste, but not in a bitter way, but more in the flavour itself. A little sweet malt is felt as well. Crisp mouthfeel, but thick. I assume that Sam Adams is going for the popular market with this one, being inoffensive, but still delivering a better than average pale ale.

A bright golden colored beer. A small foamy textured, white head rises above but doesn’t stay around bery long. The lacing is very light, nearly none at all. The aroma is a light malty sweetness. The body is thin but crisp. Low carbonation. Grassy hops, malt and spices all dance in the taste to salvage what was not a good presentation.

It pours a light copper with traces of a white-head and some lace. Fresh aroma of caramel malts, light hops, citrus, and mild spices. The mouthfeel is smooth, rich, and full-bodied. Flavors of the caramel malts, light coffee, light chocolate, light hops, citrus, some banana, and mild spices. Excellent tasting brew!!!

Got this in one of their variety packs. I liked it maybe 2nd best behind their black lager in that sample. This was smoother than many other Sams, and didn't seem to have that bitter taste too. For a pale ale, it was average, not like the crisp/hoppy American pale ales that the true microbrews are pumping out. But a good overall beer that I would recommend trying on a hot day.
