I found this one on the bitter side like the mosaic, but has a better balance with the tropical/fruity notes. Seems a bit cleaner too. I still prefer the #1 and #3 best, but this is pretty close...especially if you are a hop-head. All of these are better than expected and pretty good......would get again.

Nose of pine and some citrus, some pepper, some sweet malty notes. Pours a slightly fogged medium copper body with a very nice long lasting off-white creamy head that leaves very nice lace. Creamy mouth that is on the fullish side. Nice carbonation. This baby is pretty hoppy. First taste is bitter, some grape or apricot flavor but minor. Solid malt backbone, burnt biscuit notes. Really nice bittering on the high rear of the pallet. Clean finish, very good IPA.

Clear amber pour with a thin head, reduces to a constant ring, some lacing. Slight mango, apricot and pineapple aroma, sweet malts. Taste is much as the aroma: slightly sweet maltiness, almost sweet pineapple and mango hops bitter. Decently balanced.

Well-balanced and perhaps a touch sweeter than the others in the package - or the regular Latitude 48... Simcoe hops, perhaps? Has to be. Earthy and musky - nice.

probably my 2nd favorite in the mixer, though i enjoyed them all. grapefruit dominated nose and flavor, but far from overbearing. the malts balance things well. great sessionable ipa.

Fourth of the deconstructed series, Simcoe has a touch of earth, and floral notes but citrus is the most prevalent feature. Mouthfeel, appearance are the same as the others, overall this hop variety seemed to do well on its own.

Sampled on 5/14/2011. This IPA pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head with nice lacing and decent retention. The aroma is caramel and sweet, grapefruity and piney. A medium bodied India Pale Ale. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are grapefruity and piney. Nice juicy hopiness. Nice carbonation. Medium bitterness. This one might be the best of the bunch overall, nicely balanced between the hops and malts. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Pours a tan brandy, light medium foam, great lacing .. . light sap aromas .. . light sweetness, ..this is such a nice hop! .. . a tasty brew that should take the place of the regular latitude .. . trashcan takes out greasy tijuana ..
