Part of the fall mix. Golden amber with a light haze and rich head. Lacing is nice. Yeasty without being overbearing. Concur with two previous reviews, perhaps not a tru saison; "more like a hybrid" from Jabah sums it up nicely. Still, not a hateful brew.

I'd also say this is not like a true saison, but more of a hybrid. Some resemblance to a copper or light marzen as the base....with some grassy and floral flavors for the saison characteristics. Appearance is a cloudy lighter to medium brown, with a little orange. Not much aroma or feel to this. I prefer the Belgian Saison that came out a couple years ago.

Part of their mixed pack on my trip to Maine. Pours a hazy golden-amber colour with a frothy off-white head, great retention and foamy lace. Fresh Belgian Ale yeast nose. Candy taste of a Belgium Ale with some fruitiness to it. Quite refreshing and good, but not sure a Saison.

Pours out a cloudy gold color with sea foam head that lingers a long time. The aroma is sweet smelling of fruit like a Belgium ale. The mouthfeel is very smooth and just average. The taste has the best balance of rye I've ever tasted. It's loaded with sweet malt and wheat.
