This crisp pale ale is named after U.S. Crystal hops, which give the beer its distinctive American hop character. The classic aroma and citrusy, floral flavor that the Crystalhops provide are balanced by a subtle earthy note from U.K. hops. Cheers! - Jim Koch

Pours clear amber with a thick eggshell head. Aroma presents notes of fresh malt, pear and apple - nothing special, but acceptable. Flavor adds some woody hops to the mix for a pleasing if not distinctive taste. Fizz and body are both so-so. If not Samuel Adams’ best, still worthy of a try. Drink one while watching the Red Sox (or Patriots, or Bruins, or Celtics) kick ass.
