330 ml capped bottle. Poured in the original Saint-Monon chalice glass an unfiltered and hazy burgundy-brown coloured ale with a one finger beige creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Poor lacing. The aroma is caramel malts, roasted coffee beans, spicy, pepper, rosemary and a touch a licorice. The flavor is toasted malts, roasted coffee beans, spicy, pepper always overwhelming but also rosemary, thyme, notes of honey. The mouthfeel is sweety and very smooth. This medium to full bodied ale has a long spicy, peppery, finish. Not a usual ale but a perfect solution for the winter cold days and ... nights.
