Comes in a 750ml dark wine bottle with an attractive metal shield as a label. Pours a dark red-orange colour with a good creamy head that stays a while. Cloudy with small sediments at the bottom of the tulip glass. The aromas are of nuts, caramel, dark fruits and malt. This bottle was given to me for my birthday by Pedro and has been sitting in my cellar for a while. I guess that helped the smooth taste, with no alcohol burn. Very nice, with some fruits, roasted malt and very mild bitterness in the aftertaste. Quite a nice brew for Saint Arnould, and worth trying just to have the bottle.

Bottle: Poured a clear dark brown colored beer with a huge head with standard retention. Aroma is a mix of sweet caramel and some spices. Taste is bit lighter then expected with again some sweet caramel and spices coming out quite clearly. Alcohol is well hidden for 9% beer. Overall, this is a very good drink but not sure about this being a scottish ale, seems more like a strong Belgian ale to me. The bottle is extremely cool too with the metal label.
