With Pho in Little Saigon, Huntington Beach, CA - light straw color, rather bland and weak, still decent enough when cold to drink with my Pho. Another country off the list...

Not terrible, aromas and flavors of hay and rice. A sweetness to it with a very slight touch of hops. Clear golden yellow body, thin head. Slightly above average for an asian lager.

Clear pale yellow wit white quickly dissapearing foam head. Aroma is mixture of sweet barley and vegetables. Taste is bit too sweet, rice taste present. Short dry aftertaste. (Velp 201211)

It pours a bright golden-yellow with a thick white head and fairly heavy lacing. The aroma is almost non-existent - faint grains and hops and some lemon. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich. Flavors of grainy malts, hops, lemon-citrus, grass, and light spices. Cheap .. but reminds me of partying in Thailand.

First of all I was surprised that Vietnamese beer would be available in Canada. Then after I tried it, I was more surprised that I spent $2.50 on a bottle. A nice looking pale lager with absolutely no odour, no mouthfeel, and no flavour.

The beer pours into the glass a tranlsucent pale gold colour with a thin white head. The aroma is slightly malty and very grainy. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with mild carbonation. The taste is grassy with some bitterness thrown in (invisible hoppiness?) -

Very unappealing weak amber colour with a fair ammount of unfiltered crud, shiny white cap with mild foam up that goes quickly to a thick film. Better than average ropy lacing. Smells like unwashed skin, rice, soft malts and milk? Yup, that's what I wrote...and I still gave it a 4 on smell. Taste is what one might expect: ok malts, slight chemical sourness, sour apples and a sweet finish. Light bodied with an uninviting creamy weak bitter aftertaste. Taste beter warmer. Best drank with something else (food, gin, ect) to mask it's crappiness.

Bottle: Poured a bright golden yellow color lager with a big bubbly white head with minimal retention. Aroma of malt is a bit weak with no hops presence easily detectable. Taste is bland but in no way gross. At least it did not skunked while travelling 3000 miles to get to my place.

Bottle. Golden colour with a large beady white head. Malty aroma with some hops. Interesting it looks quite highly carbonated but isn’t! Mouthfeel is a bit thin but not too bad. Reasonable malty taste with some lingering bitterness. Much better than I feared.
