Opaque orange, thick white lasting foam head. light citrus aroma, decent weizen taste. Good beer, better than expected from this brewery in Schwarzwald. (Velp 201610)

330 ml capped bottle,as Rothaus Hefeweizen Zäpfle. Poured in a Hefeweizen vase an unfiltered and hazy golden-orange coloured HW with a three fingers dense, fine and slightly beige foamy head that has a no-end retention and tons of micro bubbles. Active carbonation. Some lacing. The aroma is fruity, riped bananas, a citrussy touch, spicy with pronounced cloves and a peppery note and moderate wheat malts. The flavour is yeasty, fruity, grainy apples, bananas and a citrussy touch, spicy, cloves and mild wheat malts. The mouthfeel is thin and fruity. The texture is watery. This light to medium bodied HW has a dry fruity and spicy finish with a bananas aftertaste. A two faces Badisches Hefeweizen, a promising nose and one large step under palate, for short, too soft.

Draught@White Horse Parsons Green, London. Hazy orange colour, small creamy white head. Aroma is wheat, yeast, fruits and some slight herbal notes. Flavour is quite much the same in a nice balanced. Served a bit too cold, but turned out really nice as it warmed up a bit.

500 ml bottle, bought in Bier Spezi Hamburg. Typical hefeweizen enormous head which lasts "forever", very cloudy golden. Typical h.w. aroma of cloves and ripe bananas. Flavour is relatively dry with the typical hefe character, notes of cloves and herbal spices, moderate hops. Another very nice and refreshing h.w.!
