Honey Cream Ale is fermented warm like traditional cream ales but features an added twist--wildflower honey from Oregon. Honey imparts a dry, refreshing character to the beer because it ferments almost completely. The honey comes from a beekeeper in Blodgett, a tiny town 20 miles east of Newport. Rogue's Honey Cream Ale is a light, smooth, medium bodied ale, with a creamy head, hints of honey and a crisp light finish. Brewed with two-row Harrington, Klages and Munich malts and Crystal hops. Honey Cream Ale is available in 22-ounce bottle (the 12-ounce 6-pack is being phased out as of early 2005), a special commemorative 3-litre bottle with ceramic swing-top, and on draft. Measurements: 12 degrees Plato, IBU 30, Apparent Attenuation 83.3, Lovibond 10

Rated July 2006. Golden color with slight haze and small white head. Grainy malt and slight sweet citrus aroma. The taste has a nice grain malt flavor throughout the taste profile. There is also a sugar based creaminess midway that approaches a cream soda flavor. There is a light hop bitterness as well.

not bad. wasn't expecting much, but this is quite refreshing. the honey is a nice touch, and of course Rogue won't make a beer without a generous amount of hops. nice.

this beer pours a bright golden colour with a subtley sweet honey aroma. it's faint, but becomes more noticeable in the taste. a little malty mid palate, finishes with soft hop character.

Golden rich foamy white head. Oily sweet aroma of honey, grass and sweat with good hop bite. Honey flavour with hints of toffee, caramel and malt. Creamy mouthfeel. Lightly bitter in finish. A bit too sweet in the long run.

08.19.04 12oz bottle. Pours a deep golden with a nice thick head. Maltiness is obvious in aroma, also lightly floral. Flavor is sticke malty; hop bite translates as vegetal at times. I keep having MGD flashbacks with this beer for some reason. I can’t say I love it, but it seems a servicable quaff.

This is my kind of light beer. (Light as in flavor, not calories). Nice creamy mouthfeel, and good light malty honey flavor. Once again, a good Rogue beer.

Bottled. Hazy orange colour, big white foamy head. Hoppy fruity aroma with malty and honeyish hints. Flavour of hops and honey with some malty notes. Mouthdrying finish.

The color of this ale is a deep yellow with a slight orange tint to it. There is a tight white head after the pour and it give way to a thin lace on the glass. The aroma is sweet clover and hops. I found the taste to be more hops and malt than anything else. Couldn’t find any honey here. A nice balance of malt and hops and carbonation. Easy to drink over all a bit above average ale from Rogue.

Ho hum, this is just a beer. Poured hazy yellow color with little head. Only aroma i got was honey as with the flavor. Tasted watered down, dry mouthfeel

This one didn't stand out, but I probably shouldn't have had it within 20mins of the DFH 120 DIPA. Either way, not much there in appearance (somewhat hazy yellow, slight orange), aroma, or flavor (I picked up the honey). Mouthfeel was dry and very light. Not enough umph in this one.
