The beer pours a translucent coca-cola colour with a creamy light brown head which lasts. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, average carbonation, and as stated previously….chalky in a way. The flavours are similar to the aroma with notes of roasted malt, rich coffee, and dark chocolate. A solid effort. -

Picked up a few bottles from LCBO. Pours an average size frothy tan head and has a dark amber appearance. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Dirty lacing. Aromas of roasted malts, toasty and earthy. Flavours are quite sweet, light roasted barley, malts, hints of coffee, very faint. Also some notes of dry fruit, not much but just a bit of plum and raisin. Slick and slightly chalky mouthfeel. Not bad.

Pours a dark copper-amber colour with a nice beige head, slightly creamy with good lace. Smells yeasty with some fruity notes, like apples, bananas. Some roasted malts in the back, which seems milder in the taste. More grassy hops and some caramel malt flavours. Some good bitterness, but not really one I would have again. Maybe a little too much yeast overall.
