Ringnes Bayersk (Bavarian) Lager is inspired by the bottom fermented beer that was brewed in Bayern (Bavaria) in the 19th century. Ringnes Bayersk Lager is a rich and flavourful beer with elements of roasted malts. The beer has a rich sweetness, a low fruitiness and a nice bitterness, and is a great accompaniment with classic Norwegian foods, and also fried and grilled meat.

Dark amber colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is salty malts, hops and some grass. Flavour is slightly roasted malts, slight caramel and some hops. A pleasant one.

500 ml can, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. A new beer from Ringnes - I thought this was supposed to be a Münchener dunkel, but it is more of a Münchener helles. Deep golden colour, decent head. Very moderate aroma, some fruity hops and boiled vegetables. Flavour has some dusty hops and a hint of caramel - and is otherwise utterly boring.
