Got this bottle as a gift from my uncle, who lives in Raleigh. Pours a clear and somewhat bubbly amber, which fades to solar yellow at the very bottom. Pale buff head is fairly thick but doesn't stick around too long. Strong, malty aroma has a fruity underpinning. Flavor is not crisp like some lagers, smoother and more ale-like; it is malty, a little sweet, with an undertone of pear and apple and a snippet of caramel. Mouthfeel is firm and smooth, if not so fizzy. Overall, a superior lager.

I had this beer at Champps in Raleigh, NC. This beer was a pretty standard Vienna lager which is why it got mostly standard/average scores. I was a tad malty for my taste. I had one and then moved on.

Simple delicious. Crisp and flavorful, yet refreshing and light. Great aroma and pallate. Great with any of the North Carolina staples like ribs and steak.

A hazy to orange to brownish color w/ an ok initial head and some but minimal lacing. The aroma was of honey and caramel malts. The flavor was of strong caramel malts, this one came off far too sweet for a lager. Maybe some grass hops in the finish after warming, but this wasn't impressive.

This selected quaff leaves your mouth happy, your budget intact, the skin cool, and the blood warm. This is a world class beer worthy of many sips. It is full bodied, yet without a heaviness found in others of the same class. Unpretentious, well crafted, and it says "beer", through and through.

Light brown-amber color with a medium head. Had it on tap and left lots of lace. Light-bodied and it had a sour malty bitter taste to it. Not all that great, wasn't a big fan of this one, but beats a lot of other crap that was on tap (Bud, Michelob, etc.)

Reddish apperance with little head. Aroma is faint malts. Flavor is not very complex with a sour malty flavor. I will say it was refreshing but nothing amazing. I met the owners at the Southern Brew Fest. Very nice people and they hooked us up with free beer. Hell an extra point for that!
