From Suds: Deep brown black pour with minimal head and spotty lacing. Nice and fairly rich aromas of cocoa and weak black coffee with some molasses. Taste is roasted malts upfront with cocoa and coffee and very light earthy hops bitter linger. Nice porter, very easy to drink. Thank you Suds McDuff.

Tried this today at Opal Devines in Austin, A deep black body with a thin light tan cap that left fair lace. Aroma and flavors of coffee, roasted malts and nuts, a little sweet. A decent amount of alcohol that was well hidden. Overall a good porter that will drink again and would recommend.

This brew was given to me by a friend. This brew poured a dark brown with a nice tan head that left a little lacing. The aroma was coffee and malt, chocolate and dark dried fruits. Mouthfeel was medium-heavy. The flavors of coffee, chocolate, spice and dark fruits were pretty prominent. Great beer.

I had this at the Trinity House, Dallas, TX. A great bar and one helluva great beer! Pours with a malty and coffee oriented aroma, chocolate and figs/raisins. Deep, dark brown body, slightly opaque, tan head, very nice lacing for a coffee beer. Velvety body, coating, but not too thick, very nice, and even a bit refreshing. Coffee, chocolate, mild spice and vanilla, dark fruits, clean yet complex, very interesting...a winner, especially in the cold. Its always nice to have a great winter warmer that won't knock you on your ass, and this one is phenomenal.

Sampled on draft, The Ginger Man, Dallas. Pours opaque brown much lacing and an adequate, tan head. Coffee dominates both the flavor and aroma. The flavor also has a bit of cocoa. Medium-bodied and moderately carbonated. Balanced, smooth and easy to drink. Too much coffee for me, but still a good beer.
