A central Texas take on the classic American style, Ranger Creek OPA is an American Pale Ale at heart that has new dimensions of flavor imparted by Texas-grown oats. It has smooth, sweet, and toasty malt flavors with an underlying creamy nuttiness from the oats. The malt profile is balanced nicely by English Fuggles and American Amarillo hops. The nose and finish are full of spicy, citrusy hops with faint notes of tropical fruits and apricot.

Comes out of the tap an opaque dark honey golden with a fine-bubbled golden-wheat head. Malty aroma has a strong evergreen hoppy overtone and a note of sweet orange. Flavor builds on a malty core with orange, hoppy and honey tones. No oatmeal, but who cares - this is one tasty ale. Thick, rich mouthfeel has tingle to spare. A winner with a flavor about as big as Texas!

An interesting take on pale ale, the oats give it a Slight nuttiness, a hint of bubblegum is quite unexpected, but nice. The citrus and faint floral hops along with biscuity malts are present. Overall a unique beer for sure, certainly worth a try.
