This beautiful mahogany coloured medium body English style brown ale pours with a beige medium density head. Initial aromas suggest sweet fresh honey, some fig and raisin with an underlying hint of toasted nuts and spices. On the palate the tastes of honey, taffy and a subtle espresso wash over the palate: met beautifly with a refreshing well balanced hop finish with subtle sweet fruit notes making your palate long for more. This beer is only available in a 750ml bottle, and that’s too much. In the glass, the beer appears as a transparent reddish-brown colour. The head is an off-white colour, slightly foamy. There is honey present in the aroma, but for the most part it is caramel and some musty hops. The flavour has sweet notes from both the honey and caramel, and finishes with a bitter finish.

Nice swing top bottle from LCBO. Pours an average amount of foamy head but dissipates to a very thin coating. Has a dark amber appearance, somewhat of a rusty hue. Weak lacing. Aromas of resin hops, light honey notes, malts and nuts. Flavours of roasted malts, nutty and sweet toffee notes with a touch of honey to accentuate the sweetness. It's very subtle though. Almost like brown sugar in the finish. Also some dried fruit notes. Full bodied and somewhat lively carbonation. The sweetness in the flavour is a bit of a turnoff for me though, just a tad much. Not bad overall though.

750ml brown bottle from the LCBO with a painted label (front and back) that is pretty nice (old school western). Pours a clean copper colour with a creamy, light-beige coloured, head that has good retention and great thick lacing. Not sure if this one is infected as it has this mild sourness that should not be there, or if the hop they use turns me off. Light sweet and fruity malts aromas. The taste has a bit of sweetness as well, with some sugars and roasted barley. The honey notes come in the finish. So, a beer that looks good for the style (with its bottle), but not much else in ways of honey brown.

Beer pours a mahogany colour with a thin tan ring for a head. Aroma is nutty malt, caramel, and weak hops. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour has the honey in it, some tart fruit notes, along with some grass and a weak bitter finish. Not bad, but I wouldn't try it a second time. -

On tap at Imbibe: Pours a deep gold ale in the glass with a puffy 3 finger white cap. Aroma is resinous and citrus with cereal tones - not much honey detectable in the nose. Flavour is bright, hoppy, citrusy and pleasantly bitter in the PacNW pale ale style, decent balance with the pale malts, clean, drying, bitter finish. Still not detection of "honey". As an APA it's a decent sessionable example but if they were looking for a honey enhanced brew here that failed. Even so it's about the best I've tasted yet from this brewer.
