This Dunkelweizen is overlaid with chocolaty flavors and fruity aromas, a beer that's so good it redefines the word bad. That's right...BAD is good!

At $4.99/ 6 pack @ Bearden Beer Market, this is pretty damn good: dark brown-near black pour, thin, short but sustained cream-colored head with some spotty lacing. Light chocolate aroma with slight malts and very slight banana nose, not much hops. Taste is much like the aroma in that the light chocolate is upfront with a slight bit of bananas and yeasts, then a light honey sweet finish. Pretty good beer especially for the price! Might have to get another 6er of this one.

I had this beer at Racer's Cafe on Harford Road in Parkville, MD with my main man MdSmith! I really enjoyed this beer and I usually HATE wheat beers. I actually gave it a try because the name was cool - reminded me of "Poker - After Dark." In any event, the beer was a dark wheat beer and tasted mre of a porter than a dunkel. This beer had body and had hints of chocolate notes. I would have this again in a second. Give it a go - inasmuch as I am the first person to review this beer, it would appear that it is rare. That being said, I was impressed with it and will seek out other RJ Rocker brewskis!
