Gold Medal at the 2008 World Beer Championships (Chicago) Silver Medal at the 2006 Canadian Beer Awards. Advances in malting techniques made possible paler coloured malts and heralded the arrival of Pale Ales onto the brewing scene in the 1800s in Britain. The most famous Pale Ale brewers came from Burton, where the hard water perfectly suited this new style of beer. Propeller “Burtonizes” its water to emulate this famous style. Crisp, hoppy and dry, Propeller Pale Ale is a delightful interpretation of a classic British brew. For Beer Geeks IBU's- 30 Hops- Warrior, Cascade Malts- Pale. Water- Hard Colour- 3.3°L

Bottled 650ml: I drank many bombers of this with fresh seafood and I must say it seems a natural companion for seafood. Pours a brilliant deep gold with a sticky 2 finger cap that lasts and laces. Moderate cabonation Delicate aroma of sweet fresh biscuit dough and fruity esters ( peach/citus) Solid malt spine, ...soft mineral mouthfeel....rounded, smooth fruity-biscuity character. Sweetness from the ample crystal malts in the start are quickly balanced by a mix of cedar and grapefruit hopping as some pleasant peach tones fill the palate...finishes clean with a light bittering and a wonderfully biscuity after taste from the wheat. No sharp edges on this ale. Very tastey and drinkable...a perfect session ale...the bomber bottles are as good as the draft if you get them fresh as they are both not pasturized.

6 pack from the local sackville liquor store, served ice cold. Not a bad aromoa but not very strong, Nice mouthfeel with a bit of a snap. Does taste of hops. Very refreshing but probably not a winter beer

Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with huge white bubbly head with average retention. Aroma of hops is clearly identifiable. Taste is quite sweet with a good floral undertone and nice bitter finish. Body is average as well as carbonation. Better then expected I must admit and very close to an APA.

Thanks to Robert Mayr for this big 650ml brown bottle of pale ale, straight from Nova Scotia. Pours a light golden-amber colour with a nice big tanned head. Retention is quite good for a pale ale, and lacing is great. Carbonation is minimal. The scent is fresh with malt and samples of honey. The mouthfeel is dry and smooth. Taste of hoppy bitterness with a bread finish. Excellent refreshing session brew... can't wait to taste their porter.
