http://www.portbrewing.com/our-beers/spa-summer-pale-ale/ Summer Pale Ale is our version of the iconic West Coast-style Pale Ale. Our brewer’s decided this beer should be all about the hops. Therefore, we brew it without any crystal malt. In choosing to brew a beer this way, we are left to focus solely on the expressive nature of the hops they choose for this beer.

dry hopped with amarillos, making this an aromatic treat. Light body but full flavored and very aromatic. bitter but cleansing on the palate. solid apa.

Pours a hazy, barely transparent amber with a fairly thick pale wheat head. Malty aroma is rather hoppy, almost more like an IPA than a "regular" PA. Flavor fills the mouth with slightly sweet malt and a fair amount of hops, more resiny than woody and not at all bitter. Smooth texture has a decent amount of fizz and thickness. A great way to welcome summer!
