Tasted at the 5th Annual Bistro 2XIPA Fest. Medium orange gold color, slightly hazy. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is grapefruit, fruit and floral hops. A medium bodied Imperial India Pale Ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are grapefruity and floral. Medium bitterness. Nicely balanced. Interesting beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

I have had th is on draft at Pizza Port San Clemente. Clear golden/amber with a nice head, it’s a good looking pour. The aroma has lots of citric (grapefruit notes). The flavor is hoppy, with some malt backbone. It’s a very good IIPA.

Nice IIPA with an abundance of grapefruit in the aroma. Taste isn’t sticky sweet but subtle and a bit dry. Malt is in there so it’s not an over the top West Coast thing but a refreshing, drinkable beer.

GABF2004... Poured a light golden color with a small white head. Amazing citrusy hops, spices, and a neat funky character. Taste was bitter hoppiness, beautifully balanced with malt and other fruits. To me this ranks up there with Dreadnaught and Hercules. Awesome, simply awesome, totally deservant of its gold medal.
