This one was cellaring for a while. Pours a clean, deep orange-amber colour with a light beige, frothy head, great retention and creamy lacing. Mild cinnamon aromas with other spices. Ginger bread and caramel malts. The alcohol is very well-hidden. So smooth and the taste is similar. Everything is nicely blended and one I could have every year. My type of winter warmer.

Pours a pretty huge creamy, frothy tan head that dissipates to a thin coating. Has a fairly clear, dark amber appearance. Average carbonation. Aromas of roasted malts, dried fruits, and toffee. Flavours are mainly malts, light roasted malt, yeast, raisins. Alcohol is well hidden, well balanced bitterness and sweetness. Good retention. Slight warming sensaion. Perfect winter beer.

Comes out of tap clear mahogany with a thick, fine-bubbled, and very persistent cream-buff head that leaves very generous lacing. Aroma has malty core and sharp fruit overtone with a hint of clove. Bold flavor has notes of malt, apple, pear, cloves, and caramel, with a sharp alcohol bite. Texture is smooth and fizzy, if not too firm. Welcome winter - brews.

Deep red-orange color with off-white head which settles quickly while lacing is spotty and minimal. The aroma is of caramel and bread malt base, fruitcake, sweet ripe cherries, red berries, currant, and fig. Big waft of cinnamon. Distinct gingersnap cookies. Nutty and earthy yeast. The taste is of gingersnap cookies and lots of cinnamon almost to the point of too much. Fruitcake, bread pudding, cocoa, brown molasses. Currant, red berry, and fig esters are a little cleaner than the aroma suggested. Long finish of bready desserts and warming cinnamon. The mouth feel is thick in body. Full and silky. Sharp, cutting carbonation, along with the ample spicing, make for a very crisp feel, creating an interesting textural juxtaposition. Warming alcohol.

Clear caramel amber with lasting and lacing brown foam head. Aroma is sweet caramel and crearly a malty alcohol. Taste is not bad, nice caramel. Short aftertaste. (Velp 201304)

Very slightly cloudy amber pour with a nice fluffy cream colored head, some lacing. Aged oaken aroma, a touch sour, sweet malts and Belgian yeasts, light ripe fruits. Malty sweet caramel flavor with a nice oak and woodsy sour quality, whether intended or not, Belgian yeasts, light earthy hops, warming finish.
