Growler. Had as Choc Choctoberfest. Pours a pretty clear amber with a fairly thick but not lasting whitish head. Malty aroma has a strong overtone of sweet fruit, maybe a hair or two too sweet. Flavor is malty, somewhat fruity, not complex but palatable. Mouthfeel is average in the thickness and fizz departments, maybe a scratch below average. Good for a party or with a meal.

Pours flat and hazy. Chill haze appearance. Smells of sulpher and grain. Tastes like vomit. Finish is of stomach acid and bile. I almost never pour out beer but I'm pouring this one out. Anyone want 5 beers? This sucks.

Light copper pour with very minimal carbonation allowing the fizzy head to quickly vanish. Light to medium bodied, malt forward and balanced. Standard malty Oktoberfest profile with a touch of grassy hops, but there is a hint of green apple and sweat socks that lingers off and on. Unfortunately these two off flavors become distracting. Potential is there, perhaps an infected bottle/batch. Sent via Hannah in my 1st Oklahoma trade and right in time for the season!

generously provided by Hannah (nice timing). 1st ever OK beer. Smells nice and rich, malty goodness right out of the bottle. Nice! Pours a pretty hazy dark orange, but flat. creamy texture is nice, and the flavor is a pretty nice mellow but tasty mix of toasted malts, caramel, sweet with a tiny hop/tart bite.

Pours a nice, true brown with bright clarity and a tan, frothy head that leaves nice amounts of lacing. The aroma consists primarily of lightly toasted malt. Doughy, toffee malts round the flavor alongside a hint of bittering hops. Clean, dry finish with no lingering sweetness. Light bodied with a creamy texture and moderate carbonation. This seasonal by Choc has evolved into something really special since I first tried it in 2005.

Sampled at Pete's and from bottle. Clear, dark copper in appearance with only a thick, whipped egg white-like head. Thick lacing. The caramel aroma was rich and enjoyable with subtle apple and spice notes. Slighly sweet and spicy. A flavorful Vienna lager with bready, toasted malts and spicy hops. Medium-bodied, moderate to full carbonation.
